Dhananjay Kumar and CEDARS Team Receive Interdisciplinary Research Award

Dhananjay Kumar, Director of CEDARS and PI of the CREAM center, was among the team members honored with the 2025 Interdisciplinary Team of the Year Award at North Carolina A&T. The award celebrates research efforts that span traditional disciplinary boundaries and involve external collaborations.

The CEDARS team includes faculty from four colleges at North Carolina A&T and partners with institutions such as MIT, Cornell, Dartmouth, Carnegie Mellon, and national laboratories. Their collaborative efforts have supported 17 faculty and scientists, 18 graduate students, 10 undergraduates, and 9 postdoctoral researchers.

The award, presented by Chancellor James R. Martin II, will be formally recognized at the university’s Celebration of Faculty Excellence.
